INFORMATION
We understand that sometimes an item
arrives and it just isn't what you expected: it could be the color or
the sizing or just a change of mind. The following will help you
understand not only our return policy but also the best way to return an
item if needed. What

ordered the right thing but received something different? By

Steps to follow when making a return What
items can be returned?
Items
must be returned in NEW (unused, unwashed) condition. Items purchased
from Callie's Closet the resale side of the shop are not eligible for
return: these items are sold as is and cannot be returned unless an
error has been made in the presentation of the item.
What
if the item is defective?
If
you experience problems with an item due to a manufacturer defect,
PinStripes and PolkaDots' will seek to replace or repair the item
immediately, as needed. In some cases depending on the item in
question, we may need to put you in contact with the manufacturer
directly. Please contact us by email
prior to a return of any defective item so that we can guide you to
the best procedure based on manufacturer.
I
just ordered wrong size or color and I would like to exchange?
Please
follow the procedures for a standard return. Please choose to
receive store credit. When the return is processed we will send
you a gift certificate to apply towards a new replacement order.
I
ordered the right thing but received something different?
We
do occasionally make mistakes on an order. We are more than
willing to admit this and make it right. Generally, it is best
to email us
directly and make us aware of the problem. We most often send
out the correct item along with a postage paid envelope for the other
item to be returned by. Item can be put inside envelope, sealed,
and placed in mailbox for the postal carrier to pick up.
By
when does an item have to be returned?
Merchandise
may be returned for a refund or exchange within 30 days from original
purchase date.
Will
there be a restocking fee?
Items
submitted for return that were originally bought using a free shipping
promotion will be subject to a restocking fee equal to the actual cost
to ship the original goods. Items purchased using a credit card will
be subject to a 5% restocking fee; this restocking fee may be waived
if you choose to receive a store credit. Items that were purchased by
cash, money order or Paypal will not incur a 5% restocking fee;
however depending on the order, a restocking fee may still apply to
recover shipping charges from orders shipped under a free shipping
promotion as mentioned above. The restocking fees are designed to
protect the business from losses on orders that were negated by no
fault of its own.
How
long will it take for my return to be processed?
Once
a return is received by mail, please allow an additional week for a
return to be processed. We generally only process returns once a week.

What
do I need to send along with my items that I am returning?
Please
send along a copy of the original invoice. Also write a note to
let us know if you are requesting store credit or if you need your
credit card (restocking fees may apply) or Paypal account credited.

Steps to follow when making a return:

Log
into your account by clicking on the "my account" link
(top right) and entering your email and password on the log in
screen.

Choose
"View Previous Orders".

Choose
the order you are needing to make a return from and view
"Order Details" .

Print
a copy of the order details to include with your returned items.

Scroll
to the bottom of the order details page and click on the link to
"request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)"

Click
on the items you need to return. State the reason and any
other comments you think may be helpful then select
"Continue."

We
will issue a RMA# and send it to you by email.

Include
the RMA# on the outside of your return envelope and on your
invoice copy when returning.

Include
on your invoice copy preferences in regards to the return such as
"please issue store credit," "please return balance
to credit card," or "please credit back through paypal"
