DIAPER PINNING MADE
SIMPLE Using diaper pins is no longer
a required aspect of diapering. However, many people have found
pinning to be a simple and yet safe way to get a snug-fitting prefold. The
secured prefold can then be used under a cover or alone on those warm
summer days outside.

|
|
Follow directions for the basic
fold. Slide fingers under the front fold down panel as extra
protection for baby.
|
Keep
pin facing away from your baby, bunch fabric slightly and then slide
pin through. Pin is always parallel with your baby not
pointing towards baby. |
|

|

|
|
Notice the slight bunch of the fabric
that the pin slid through.
|
Lock
the pin and the pin head and proceed to other side. |
|

|

|
|
Again slide your fingers under the front
fold down panel. |
Keep
pin parallel to baby and slide through the diaper. |
|

|

|
|
Lock pin. |
Lock
pin head. |

Viola!
About the Pins:
Sharp pins are safer
pins. Dritz diaper pins are the best diaper pins available for use,
today. Dritz diaper pins are equipped with locking metal heads.
Slide the head up to allow pin to disengage. Slide the head back
down to lock the pin and keep it from accidentally disengaging.
Tips and
Tricks:
A well oiled pin
slides much easier into diaper fabric. Glide your pins through your
hair near the scalp before pinning to give it some natural oils.
When pinning always keep the pin pointing
parallel to your baby. In mathematical terms keep the diaper pin at
tangent to the circle of your baby's waist. This will make it
basically impossible for you to accidentally catch your baby.
